Point & Insurance Reduction Program (PIRP)

This 6-hour course can reduce points on a driving record and lower insurance premiums for three years following completion. 

The course, also known as a defensive driving course and is designed to refresh driving knowledge. This course is approved by the  New York Department of Motor Vehicles (NY DMV). Each qualifying course must meet strict standards for the safe driving information presented and program effectiveness.

The student kit includes: 

• Student Workbook: 40 pg booklet for student to use throughout the course, 2025 edition
• State Submission & Fees: Student rosters are reviewed and approved by the ASI team. All valid student completions are submitted on your behalf, as a sponsor, to the NY DMV.
• Certificate: Issued directly to the student, valid with insurance agencies, governmental departments, and other organizations. Each certificate has a unique identifier recognized by the NY DMV on forgery-proof paper.
